Caning sentence for drug dealers

We know that it is already gruesome the blackmaria punishment at the gallows for those who committed drug trafficking offences in malaysia (i think this punishment is for trafficking a certain amount of class A illegal drugs). In other words, it is a mandatory death sentence for those who is found guilty of drug trafficking charges in Malaysia.

Just today, I found this in Daily Mail: Corporal punishment: caning . It includes a LiveLeak videoclip (an online videoclip sharing site similar to a youtube concept) that shows a Malay drug dealer getting 20 rotan lashes on his buttock for the drug crime. The six-minute clip entitled Malaysian Caning Judicial Corporal Punishment was intended as a public educational message clip or rather, a strong reminder that flogging will be carried out to anyone who dares to commit such a crime.

Be warned that it is a rather graphic clip.

But at least malaysia was honest on the punishment unlike those in many other parts of the world including those in the USA....

I tengok pon naik goosebumps, gerun you...before this kan mak aji, i did hear about how the skin peeled off due to the rotan lashes effect but only this time i view it on the clips. Good that they also show that the criminal received fair medical treatment and not letting him wallows in agony. Whether this punishment is considered primitive or not, it still serves the purpose of leaving a certain permanent scars on the crime offenders.

Gory! But if you do the crime, then you're expected to do the time (and that includes caning, ass-fuck etc).

Some people might argue that criminals are also human and they should be treated fairly, but this kind of people, why don't they ask those victimised by the criminals, those rape victims, the loved ones of those who were killed in robberies etc. Correctional institution, well yeah, we might believe in that, second chance and everything and all. But should we really spend the time and money for all that, when in the first place, it was their (the criminals) choice, to do what they did?

I say, whip 'em, hang 'em, shock 'em. Our prisons are over populated anyway!

Ardy ,

U r right about how the punishments are not exactly bang out of the order when we think of the crimes they have committed.

But what if it's like what happened to Count of Monte Cristo and John Coffey (green miles) when the punishments were wrongly sentenced to an innocent soul?

I let karma takes its own course for god has the ultimate severe yet rightful punishment for the convicts and wrongdoers. Remember doa orang teraniaya dimakbulkan allah.
