g'day from down under!

hehe....short blog from melbourne. Been here for 4 days and it's been marvellous....i'm glad i'm actually having my fast here in the midst of lovely spring time.

Today is the Chemeca2007 conference final day. And later in the midnite (thats thursday early morning) i'll be flying back to KL.

What A PLUSH hotel, and what lovely atmosphere here....definitely will think of coming back to melbourne. Friendly people too. And plenty of chinese....doesnt matter where is their country of origin (includes malaysia) but the chinatown is definitely one of the significant landmark in the heart of the city.

First time down under and it sure is far from disappointing. Yupp, i am like down under the planet earth....funny huh?

Salam Ija,

I did and it made me sad last night when i was in the flight on the runaway a few mins before it took off. But it all dwells on me that having a jolly good holiday on my own, meeting and networking with quite a few smart academicians and professional engineers (and some few entrepenuers) around will not happen if i wasnt in the right mood and having the right attitude.

And i was glad I attended this conference all the way down under!

Makji yang rawk,

Did u? Well, the conference schedule was kinda packed from morning at 8.30am till 6pm. But i managed to get out whenever i could esp during those lunch hours and not so relevant topic sessions to just get on those free old city tramlink or just walked around getting something for iftar or shopping for some souvenirs. And due to that schedule constraints i didnt make it to those beaches.

But i enjoyed every moment i spent there even if it has to be a brief walk down the treasury park on a sunny spring afternoon snapping pictures on my own and met some thai tourists who then took like 3-4 pics of me. Funny though, lotta people esp during the conference thought i am still a student? Tak cokop professional ke i nih?

Nope, i didnt get that chance as my schedule was kinda packed. But thanks for the recommendation. Who knows, whenever i get another chance to go there, i might search for that kebab!

NJ ,

To be honest with u, i think i am backlogged with some juicy stories this september only! but how i wish this blog cud be made like youtube but without the need to make a video presentation. Enuf with voice recording and voila! i could save the "hassle" of writing them down....It kinda took me a bit more energy to write rather than to speak but writing gives me more space to pour out the emo part in a more "articulate way" not that i am that articulate...

But yea, i hope i will do that soon... :-) thanks for your genuine interest!

It was a trip beyond my expectation....u know la i used to hear people getting racist remarks there, but alhamdulillah all that never took place. I pon takde la place much of expectation either as i dont really prejudge much, but alhamdulillah, everything's turned out on the positive side for me, even fasting there was very relaxing.
