Tuhan sayang

I am yet to fully recover from the Election results. And this song: Wind of Change by Scorpions came to mind:

BY the way, I managed to visit the Berlin Wall remains 10 years ago.

That ZAM dude ( one of the losers in the recent election) said something like and I quote:

-Tuhan masih sayangkan PM dan TPM kita -

in response to the lesser BN majority and that the PM and TPM still gained a reasonable win on ballot count result enabling them to resume their power on the TV1 8 o'clock news.

You can say: Tuhan masih sayangkan dia (God still have mercy upon him/her) if he/she were still alive or basically survived a near-fatal accident or any sort of incident that would have caused death. But by observing them sworn again as the nation's leaders doesn't deserve that "Tuhan masih sayangkan dia" statement, not a bit. I found it so lame that I had to switch to another channel immediately for fear of having another nausea as I have just had my dinner that time.

He should have said: "Kita bersyukur pada Tuhan kerana disebalik kekalahan kita di Kedah, Perak, Selangor dan Pulau Pinang dan kegagalan kita untuk menawan Kelantan daripada genggaman PAS, kita masih lagi mampu untuk menjadi gagasan parti pemerintah walaupun kekurangan majoriti 2/3".

("We are very grateful to God that despite our defeat in Kedah, Perak, Selangor and Pulau Pinang and our failure to win back Kelantan from PAS grip, we are still able to be the main ruling party coalition even at lower than the 2/3 majority")

He has not learnt how to be a wise, diplomatic and visionary leader or is he? Perhaps, he should not talk when he is very angry lest he keep on making himself look even more ridiculous.

And who can forget those inarticulate statements he gave to the Al-Jazeera reporter in regards to the Bersih rally last year? A reminder of that here:

***********************************************************************************

Like many of us across the country, (my mother and) I too applaude and in support of Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon's wise act on the way he accepted his loss, acknowledging his opponent's win and welcoming the new Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng son of Lim Kit Siang of DAP.

Picture from The Star: Koh , left shaking hands with Dr.P.Ramasamy of DAP, who has defeated him in the recent electi0n for Batu Kawan seat in Pulau Pinang

To those who have won, STOP gloating.
To those who are entrusted upon by the rakyat to govern, stand and deliver.
To those who are still in denial and still want to secure their own positions, wake up and smell the coffee.
To the leaders be it the BN or BA, we the rakyat will always remind u of your duty to us for the sake of the nation. You are given the power by us and we will decide whether u r any good to us or not.

Latest news: I have received an email on how Tok Guru Nik Aziz led a massive solat hajat (prayer of hope) congregation in Kota Bharu few days before the Election day with high hopes that Allah will help those who seeks His mercy and pleasures and His blessings on the coming election day.

OMG, that ZAM dude always fail to impress.. he has no leadership qualities whatsoever and yet, wants to get involved in politics (and putting us to shame). Even after being a loser (or has he always been one, just not yet shown to us? hehe), he still continues embarassing us with his stupid comments huh?

Now what kind of mercy does God still have upon our PM and DPM other than giving them chance to repent for all the mistakes and corruption they have done? Definitely not because still giving them a chance to be a PM and DPM, since probably, some TV sets in the homes of the rakyat, did get splatter from their vomit last night, hahaa.. Truely, most of us hate that they still have power.

Me and wife voted in Muar last weekend coz we still haven't informed SPR of our change of address (and perhaps we don't intend to change). Anyway, we voted at two different places at our hometown. Alhamdulillah, our effort of traveling back was paid off coz both seats were won by PAS.

Currently, I'm writing a short story (sketsa) about the previous election. Can't wait to put it up in my blog soon...:-))

Pisces man,

Yeah, thank God i am subscribed to ASTRO channels, and so i could just surf other news channels like Astro Awani and Astro Bernama, besides those national tv channels whenever such revolting scene took place at a certain channel.

You are openly supporting the still-opposition party in your constituency eh? I can now call the BN as pembangkang as selangor is now ruled by PKR and its coalition.

Though I am all for the "menjaga hak-hak keistimewaan melayu", I am also liberal in the sense that we should be more pragmatic and empathetic (not pathetic yea) to everyone regardless of their race and creed. And for that reasons, Malay mongrels all around the country must keep up with the global challenges and needs and be more progressive with open heart and mind. As the old saying gose: United We Stand, Divided We Fall.

Hi Manal, I have read in your Star, Straits Times re the election results, needless to say can't help feeling surprised the opposition sapu Selangor and FT.
My time DAP could only win Bukit Bintang, I think it was Lee Lam Thye, MP.
Some years back, here in Canada the whole country got fed up with the ruling party, goverment and come election they totally voted out the whole lot...the party had majority two previous elections...then when the next election came, the country booted them all out, till not enough seats to form a party.
This made history in the whole of North America...from 200 plus parliament seats to only 11. The PM too got booted out!
Thus the present parties, MP's, PM all know what the country, especially Toronto can do to them if they don't perform.
Toronto with it's population of 5 million, 46% of people are from other countries, 127 different nationalities sure know how to boot these guys if they don't walk the talk, ha ha.
Never in the history of a Western country has a government been booted out till no party.
Canadians don't fool around, ha ha. Lee.

Manal...maybe that is what PM,TPM and KJ should do kan...semayang hajat...bukannya mengata org sana sini...who is that ZAM? Who's son in law is he?

The Pisces Man said...

Hj Esah Jolie (as in Joli katak? hehe), ZAM is Datuk Zainuddin Maidin, an ex-Minister of Mis-Information, Un-Informed and Deformed Mind.. He is the son-in-law of err... don't care lah, now that he's no longer in the picture and hopefully, will remain that way :-))

Uncle Lee,

Like what the Hindraf (hindu rights action force) have been shouting out since last nov: Makkal Shakti or People Power!

A revolution to topple a government is something people have been doing for thousand of years. One of the well-known ones is the French Revolution, from a kingdom soverignity to a republic.

Anyways, it is still unrest this whole political scene in malaysia and among other things, its the competition of who's gonna be the State Minister.

Makji Esah,

Benar katamu itewwww noks...weols pon setuju...!

Pisces Man,

I never do like ZAM. Such a 'kisser' if you know what I mean. And his statements sometimes made him look foolish and uneducated. Kesian..

I like the way Koh Tsu Koon graciously stepped down. Now that's professional. I also heard that Shahrizat stepped down graciously, giving way for Nurul Izzah to start being the wakil rakyat.

Kena professional lah kan, or else everyone will menyampah.

Hi Manal,

A lot have been said here. I would like to add something very short.

'What goes around, comes around'!!

I'm afraid this would apply to the mainstream, alternatives and the electorates as well.

In the end we deserve what we get!

Everyone of us play some role somehow! My thoughts.

ManaL said...

Ija,

ZAM could get a little bit wiser had his old boss be more articulate when he made his election results press conference. But instead, that fella chose to say: "
Dah kalah, kalah lah! Enough, enough"
.

Why la i dont feel any excitement but a mere "ahuh" looking at the new cabinet lineups?

Kak Ruby,

Definitely, couldn't agree with u more!!!

And i am reitirating what I have said before that whichever party it is, the leaders are all accountable for the nation's progress and peace. And we the rakyat must move forward, wise up and contribute whatever we can for the good cause.

Even in Islam, the leaders will be one of the last to be judged and to enter heaven as they carry with them their people's good and bad deeds.

To avoid such a tragedy happening again, and for the salvation of our children, we are doing a worldwide campaign, displaying the image of NURIN JAZLIN JAZIMIN in blogs all over the world on 25th April 2008. Let's not forget NURIN JAZLIN.

I am not in any way not feeling adequate about my voluptuous figure, kinda grateful with it really, yet i thought i couldnt be any near to your slim-built girls list in the beginning.

Now, you have assured me that u do include curvy category in the infamous ninjalogy hehe!

PS: I am currently on my 3 month gym trial period. Need to lose some weight, reduce my uric acid level in the blood and feel more energetic!

Paris Je t'aime for you eh?

The drama has yet to subside esp amongst the newly opposition ruling states in the west coast and tganu too. But couldnt agree more on the interesting part. Kejutan demi kejutan so to speak. Or should i say: ke-zwet-an demi ke-zewt-an!
