Nearly eight years ago, I wore a black robe for my 1st degree graduation at the University of Bradford.
And eight years ago, i blossomed and still continue to blossom till today. A late bloomer that I am.
My silent prayers has been answered.
Thank you, God!

Hi sue,
Thanks very much! Inshallah, ameen!
Dr Manal,
I am very proud of your milestone.
Hi&lo ,
Cheers. As the saying goes: No guts, no glory. Nevertheless, all those struggles left me with unstable blood pressure resulting in me taking a beta-blocker pill once a day everyday. Perhaps the best remedy would be by weight-controlling that is best achieved by regular fitness regime. So far i do look after my food consumption in order to reduce the hypertension risk.
My workout regime is still not up to the F.I.T (Frequency, Intensity, Time as was told by Pak Adib) consistency standard. Hopefully after i've sorted out my financial conditions, I could register myself at a local gym.
zmanal,
I juz wonder, 2 weeks in london -takkan takde cerita2? Share with us lah.
Aiseh, hypertension at such a young age (compliment tuh!) -the price that we pay huh? No need to join local gym - join senamrobik at tasik cempaka, 7.30am on every sunday, or waitankung on every 2nd sunday,or go find tennis buddies or go swimming kat Danau. Heheheh..pandai2 je I suggest..
Abt our friend, did she ask you abt my blog? I feel so guilty lah for hiding things..must be fun to catch up again after all these years kan.
I know this is a bit late but congratulation!
better late than never right? :)
Congrats Manal - U look awesome in that robe. U go dude... hehe..
Rad ,
I heard about that senam activities down at tasik cempaka...but naah...not my cuppa tea...more like for old folks like my parents who used to join them before my mum began to have bad knees.
Yeah, she did. But at that time, i forgot ur URL as i havent seen u around much. So it's up to u la, rad. Or if she did read my blog regularly, she might click on ur name instead....
Ryzah ,
Nope, it's the thought that counts...thanks, mate!

Manal,
You are highly passionate once you set sight on a goal. Even top notch athletes may have hypertension as well.
Have you heard buah belimbing can counterbalance high blood? It's scientifically proven. Cut down salt intake in your diet.
You may consider holistic medicine to complement your therapy. Consult a qualified herbalist who also has some fundamental knowledge on allopathy.
If you are starting a fitness programme, make sure you have a instructor to guide you for max benefits.
with healthy lifestyle and diet, you will be back to normal in no time.
Cheers.
Hey Hi&lo ,
Thanks for ur kind suggestions....besides buah belimbing, papaya can help stabilize the blood pressure too...
Too passionate can kill huh...i think it was more of the bottled up stress though it's not really bottled up...i mean, those old stresses and subconscious ones were like some sort of a timebomb. But in my case, it's more of a sign that as u get older, ur body aint as fast recuperating as when we r a lot younger. Talking about forgetting that the added number to the age does have a certain a lot of impact to our body system esp the internal organs.
Yeah, i hope so too...though i may still need to rely on the betablocker pills for a while....
My heartiest congratulations to Dr Manal.I am proud of your achievement!
During my student days in UK, one of my schholmates,,who dared to do his degree at IC and he failed to get a BSc.
Btw, the location of your photo reminds me of a photo of mine taken by a jogging partner after one round of walking at Hyde Park garden.
-Pak Adib, who chose to study in Sheffield U.
Pak Adib ,
My sincere gratitudes to your flattering compliments.
Yeah, ALbert hall is literally located opposite the hyde park- kensington garden area. I hope I will be blessed with good health and full of energy like you at your golden jubilee years.
